On October 3, as part of the feast of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, a relic of the Venerable Mother María Inés Teresa Arias was solemnly enthroned in the Chapel of Saint Thérèse, belonging to the Parish of Los Menucos, located in the Southern Line (Línea Sur) of Argentine Patagonia.

he celebration was presided over by Bishop Juan Carlos Ares, Bishop of the Diocese of Bariloche, with the participation of the Clarist Missionary Sisters serving in Argentina, alongside the local community.

The presence of the relic fulfills a desire expressed for several years by the faithful of Menucos. The community wished to express its gratitude for the dedicated service of the sisters throughout sixteen years of mission, leading up to the closure of the house in 2020. Santa Teresita was the first mission of the Clarist Missionaries in Argentina, leaving an enduring mark on all who shared daily life, faith, and work with them.

For the people of Menucos, this enthronement stands as a sign of spiritual closeness and enduring presence. Although the sisters cannot resume their mission there at this time, the relic of Mother María Inés remains as an expression of the congregation’s deep affection and as a spiritual presence that continues to accompany and watch over the Santa Teresita community.
